Biller Bahn is the only purpose manufactured tinplate clockwork O gauge narrow gauge toy railway ever made, the actual gauge is either called On30 or Oe gauge. Like the UK's Hornby toy railways manufactured in the last century they were intended for children to play with on the floors of their homes and this is why they are called carpet railways.

The Biller company was created by Johann Biller in 1935 and produce toy trains from 1948 till the mid 70's the company continued to produce a whole range of toys until it hit bankruptcy in 1978.

The toy trains were made to be clockwork but later converted to battery operated, the track uniquely for toy trains have wooden sleepers, also a wide range of accessories were available, together with a varied selection of train sets.
